Bears Grass St Peters Lutheran Church Confirmation Class of 1939 An Augusta Wisconsin confirmation class of 1939 - at the end of the Depression - a change and movement to prosperity and movement to World War Two (World War II) John Knuth at the age of 14 in the top row - first upper left The church was in Bears Grass Wisconsin - an area just 4 miles from Augusta, it never became a thriving community. Bears Grass church was a 'subsidiary' of the more prosperous Grace Lutheran Church of Augusta Wisconsin
