The Obituary of Alice E Schwetz, nee Sperber

Alice E. Schwetz, 79, of Chippewa Falls, died at her home on Saturday, August 26, 2017.

Alice was born on July 30, 1938, in Augusta WI, to Alvin and Margaret (Knuth) Sperber.

She married Robert Schwetz on May 8, 1965, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. Alice was proud of the over 400 kids she babysat throughout her years. She always had a four legged friend, and lots of frogs and bird houses around to decorate her house. Alice enjoyed reading books and watching Bob Barker on the Price Is Right. If you ever stopped by, she could talk you into a card game, but you better not plan on winning. If you wanted to go for a ride, she would go to the casino, or any thrift sales, to find a special treasure for her grandkids. Alice was a kind and giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that will be missed by all.

Alice is survived by her children, Jim (Ronda) of Madison, Mike (Becky) of Chippewa Falls, Jerry (Fiancée Bobbi Jo) of Eau Claire, Jean (Kevin Sorum) Anderson of Eau Claire, and Dan (Heather) of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Taylor, Jessica, Kaitlin and Cameron, Cassandra, Alison, Joseph, Kevin and Robert, Chelsea and Czandlar, Brandon and Caden, Emily, Brooklyn and McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Annabelle and Lincoln; sisters, Janice (Bob) Lange of Eau Claire, Eleanor (Robert) Hageness of Eau Claire, Marilyn (John) Balliett of Osseo; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert in 2003; brother, Harold (Jean) Sperber; sister, Arlene (Jerry) Otto.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, at Zion Lutheran Church, 110 E. Grand Avenue, Chippewa Falls, with Rev. Timothy Jones officiating. Interment will be at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Town of Siegel, Chippewa County, WI.
